Wild Grapes


September 15, 2016. These wild grapes grow along one of the access roads at NRC. Notice how they're quite different from virginia creeper berry, with which they are sometimes confused. They're obviously thriving, which suggests to me thaat Ottawa has missed its calling as a potential wine region. Dow's Lake
